The importance of superior thermal and sound insulation in the coming autumn and winter, spring and summer

Silent Protection

Superior thermal
and sound insulation

In urban centers, traffic, sirens and honking cars are just part of the noise we are exposed to daily. Unpredictable weather is also a nuisance at the door: cold, storms, hail, snow, extreme heat, etc.

Modern entrance doors must be able to cope with these situations. If it used to be the case that windows were the primary or essential insulators in a house, this is no longer the case. With top quality insulation, you can easily save on heating costs and ensure an optimally energy efficient home, even with the help of your front door. At Pirnar, we have developed top quality insulation solutions for those who do not want to compromise on a comfortable living environment.

Energy Saver

Thermal insulation
ThermoCore - 0.59 W/(m2K)

Thermal insulation for more warmth and additional savings on home heating costs
ThermoCore are front doors for residential buildings with significantly higher thermal insulation. Extremely thin nanofibre panels in combination with other insulating materials help to reduce energy consumption and thus additionally save heating costs. Thermal conductivity is improved by almost 20 % compared to standard doors. The 10 mm thick ThermoCore insulation panel in Pirnar's entrance door achieves the same thermal insulation as a conventional door:

  • with a Styrofoam board 20 times thicker or
  • with a Styrodur board 17 times thicker

Recommended choice: ThermoCore insulation is the best choice for homes in areas with colder climates as it maintains thermal conductivity well.

Warm and Quiet

Combination of sound and thermal insulation SupremeCore – 42 db & 0,62 W/m2K

Sound and thermal insulation for maximum warmth and quiet in your home
SupremeCore is an entrance door for residential houses that inspires with record values in sound insulation and thermal conductivity. Innovative sound and thermal insulation panels combine with other materials to create solid doors with exceptional sound insulation and minimal heat loss. At the expense of good sound insulation, you do not sacrifice thermal conductivity.

Recommended choice: SupremeCore Premium insulation is a good choice for residential front doors in all weather conditions.

soundcore

Warm and Quiet

Sound Insulation
SoundCore – 42 db

Sound insulation for greater peace, comfort and better quality living in residential buildings
SoundCore is a residential entrance door with an infill density of 900 kg/m3 which, in combination with a high-quality seal and door leaf, reduces the sound impact in living spaces by more than 18 times than if the door were wide open. Compared to standard entrance doors, the intensity of the sound penetrating the entrance door is significantly reduced. The result of such good insulation is not only a combination of fillers in the door leaf but also in the seal. With SoundCore insulation, we achieve soundproofing values similar to those known for windows. At the cost of better sound insulation, we do not sacrifice thermal insulation.

Recommended choice: SoundCore sound insulation is particularly suitable for doors in urban centres or in places where residential buildings are exposed to more noise.

The importance of superior sealing to maintain a comfortable house temperature

Precision Sealed

Exceptional sealing for
optimum house temperature

Quality entrance doors make an important contribution to the overall energy efficiency of a renovated house or new building. Quality sealing and good insulation are the prerequisites for a top-quality energy-saving entrance door, and top-quality sealing ensures that the temperature in your house is kept at an optimum level. In winter, it keeps the warmth in and in summer, it provides the coolness we crave.

Pirnar's aluminium entrance doors have another advantage: advanced Magnet WeatherSeal sealing. They have been awarded the outstanding 9A watertight rating by the German test laboratory Ift Rosenheim, maintaining perfect watertightness at a pressure of 600 Pa, which corresponds to a wind speed of 114 km/h. This is six times the load that a conventional front door can withstand. Considering the number of times we open and close our doors in our lifetime, uncompromising sealing is a must.

The Innovative
Ultimum Pure Series

At Pirnar, with our combination of craftsmanship, attention to detail and technological solutions, we were the first to develop an aesthetically pleasing series that has a perfectly aligned glass and leaf level. The uniform level also continues to potential side- and overheadligths. We were not satisfied with simply inserting the glass into the leaf; on the contrary, it is sanded and installed from the inside in a special way with a good amount of expert craftsmanship. By focusing on the details, we have achieved complete minimalism - doors without slots, edges or frames. We spend 8 hours of metalworking for one unique Pirnar handle, which includes details at the level of the luxury watch industry. The perfectly smooth and minimalist design of the Pure series, inspired by perfectionism, impresses interior designers and architects of the most modern facilities, as well as the most demanding customers. This master-piece in design and execution has not gone unnoticed by experts at the German Design Award, Red Dot Award and Architizier A+ Awards, which have nominated and rewarded the Pure series on multiple occasions.

Multi-Level Look

The Innovative
Ultimum Multilevel Series

At Pirnar, we were the first to design a striking and noticeable entrance with a three-dimensional appearance. The design innovation of two levels of panels of different shapes and colours, laid on top of one another, with intermediate additional insulation is also a groundbreaking achievement with regard to insulating values and thickness of the door leaf. Innovation is the result of masterful craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Each individual door element is manually bent, welded and sanded in a unique way. It is for this series that we have developed unique handles that round off the whole design and functionally integrate all door leaf elements into one entirety. The Multilevel Series is a favourite for those who like to take centre stage and want to stand out.
